Brien Mastery bursary

In memory of Dr. Brien Masters, who founded the London Waldorf Teacher Training Seminar in 1983, the London Waldorf Trust is offering a limited number of assisted scholarships to applicants for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Three bursaries of £1000 each will be available to applicants for the first year of the training, who are committed to Steiner Waldorf Education and who require financial support.

Applications are invited from Steiner Waldorf schools who would like to propose and support a member of staff, a parent, a member of the community or someone otherwise connected with the school. There should be only one applicant per school.

In order to be eligible the student must be able to demonstrate:

  1. Their commitment to Steiner Waldorf education and to becoming a Steiner Waldorf teacher. The student must be prepared to fulfil all the criteria of the course including 90% attendance, completion of all coursework, observation and teaching practice.
  2. Financial hardship or difficulties.
  3. An endorsement from the school that the student is committed to Steiner Waldorf Education and that the school will fund the balance of the fees (net of the bursary).
